Rare signed contract of 1944-45 Ohio State head coach Carroll C. Widdoes while he was Athletic Director at Ohio University. In his first season as coach, Widdoes took what Paul Brown had built in the two years previous and brought it to a new level. He led the Buckeyes to an undefeated 9-0 season and coached the school's first ever Heisman Memorial Trophy winner in Les Horvath. Ohio State went 16-2 in the two seasons that Widdoes coached the Buckeyes. He was a member on Paul Brown's staff on Ohio State's first national championship team in 1942 as well.
Widdoes executed the contract flawlessly in blue ink along with Ohio State's Athletic Directory Richard Larkins.
