Game program from October 19, 1946 contest against Purdue in Ohio Stadium. In Paul Bixler's only season as head coach, optimism was met with frustration with their top players returning from World War II. Instead of playing for the Buckeyes though, stars Lou Groza, Gene Fekete, Dante Lavelli and Lin Houston were signed by Paul Brown to play for the Cleveland Browns. The short-handed Ohio State squad battled Purdue to a 14-14 tie on this day, bringing their record to 1-1-2 on the season.
Program is in condition.
