Three piece lot to commemorate the 1974 Rose Bowl between Ohio State and USC. The undefeated Buckeyes entered the Rose Bowl still clinging to hopes of a national championship, despite their 10-10 tie to Michigan. It was uncertain who would represent the Big Ten in Pasadena, but Athletic Directors sent top ranked Ohio State by a vote of 6-4. The Buckeyes used their ground game and defense to steamroll the seventh ranked Trojans, 42-21. Sophomore Archie Griffin capped the scoring with a 47-yard dash in the fourth quarter, setting the stage for him to claim the Heisman Trophy the next two seasons. Ohio State finished the 1973 season 9-0-1, but dropped in the rankings after Notre Dame's one-point win over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.
Lot includes a 1974 Rose Bowl ticket stub, a pamphlet advertising travel packages, as well as a tour guide for the 1974 Rose Bowl.
