This is an original 8x10 Silver Gelatin Photo from the 40th Reunion that celebrated Ohio State's first ever Western Conference Championship team of 1916. The event took place at the Deshler-Hilton Hotel on October 25, 1956. The photo shows an aged Chic Harley in the top row three people away from Paul Hurm. Also pictured is head coach Jack Wilce, along with All-Americans Bob Karch and Pete Stinchcomb.
The Buckeyes finished the 1916 season 7-0 including a 4-0 mark over Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Northwestern. They outscored their opponents that season, 258-29.
This is a part of half back Paul Hurm's Personal Collection. Hurm was a part of the famed Ohio State backfield that also included Chic Harley and Pete Stinchcomb.
