Type I photo of Ohio State great Chic Harley shaking the hand of Ohio State's third Heisman Trophy winner Howard "Hop" Cassady, taken on December 10, 1955. This 8x10 photo includes white facsimile signatures of both Ohio State icons.
Harley was the school's first three-time All-American. In 1950, Chic was picked as a First Team All-American for the first half of the 20th century by the Associated Press and was also voted one of 44 charter members inducted into the inaugural 1951 College Football Hall of Fame class.
Cassady was a member of Ohio State's 1954 National Championship team and was Ohio State's third Heisman winner in 1955. Hop would go on to an eight-year career in the NFL, highlighted by a NFL Championship with the Detroit Lions in 1957. He was inducted into the College Hall of Fame in 1979 and Ohio State's Varsity O Hall of Fame in 1977.
The picture posseses creases (not bends) on both the left and right sides of the photo.
This is a part of half back Paul Hurm's Personal Collection. Hurm was a part of the famed Ohio State backfield that also included Chic Harley and Pete Stinchcomb.
