A beautifully signed 8 x 10 photo of 1944 Heisman Trophy winner Les Horvath in thin blue sharpie. Horvath was a member of Ohio State's first national championship team in 1942 and it was believed his eligibility was complete at the end of that season. After being drafted by the Cleveland Rams, he decided to enroll in Ohio State's Dental School in 1943. Because of player shortages due to the ongoing war in 1944, the NCAA passed a rule allowing freshmen to play as well as granting players who had previously sat out as a freshman an extra year of eligibility. Ohio State second year head coach, Carroll Widdoes, convinced Horvath to use his extra year and rejoin the Buckeyes.  It was truly a blessing in disguise as no one foreshadowed him winning the school's first Heisman and leading Ohio State to a perfect 9-0 record. To this day, he is the only Heisman Trophy winner who did not play the previous season.

He did go on to play two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams before being released and signed by the Cleveland Browns. The move reunited Horvath with his first college coach, Paul Brown.

Horvath was inducted into the College Hall of Fame in 1966 and Ohio State's Varsity O Hall of Fame in 1977.  Horvath provided a perfect signature in the bottom right corner in thin blue sharpie.
