32.5" x 27" Emerson Burkhart canvas signed by Howard "Hopalong" Cassady. Cassady was a member of Ohio State's 1954 National Championship team and was Ohio State's third Heisman winner in 1955. Hop would go on to an eight-year career in the NFL, highlighted by a NFL Championship with the Detroit Lions in 1957. He was inducted into the College Hall of Fame in 1979 and Ohio State's Varsity O Hall of Fame in 1977.  Emerson Burkhart (1905-1969) was a well-known 20th Century artist based in Columbus, Ohio. This is a canvas print of his original Howard Cassady painting. Hopalong signed a jumbo autograph, splitting his name with his familiar Heisman year of "55" and added the inscription "Go Bucks"
