A Real Photo Post Card from Ohio State's trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan on October 16, 1909. The Buckeyes had only tied the Wolverines once and never beat them in the previous 10 meetings. This game would be no different as Fielding Yost's group dominated Ohio State, 33-6. The Buckeyes were trailing 21-0 at the half and their only score would come off a Michigan blunder near their own goal-line.
The scoreboard in this RPPC shows a score of UM – 12 and O – 0. Ohio State is the only team to have played Michigan in the 1909 season with “O” in the team name. Further substantiating that this was from the Ohio State vs Michigan contest, this RPPC was postmarked on December 17, 1909 from Columbus, Ohio.
