Ohio State entered the November 24, 2018 game against Michigan with a 10-1 record and hopes of making it back to the College Football Playoff. Michigan entered The Game as the fourth ranked team in the land, while Ohio State worked their way back up to 10th.  In Urban Meyer's final game against their archrival, the Buckeyes put up 62 points in a 62-39 win in Columbus. It marked Ohio State's 7th straight win against the Wolverines and gave Urban Meyer a perfect 7-0 record against them. Dwayne Haskins would finish third in the 2018 Heisman Trophy voting.

These Gold Pants were awarded to a reserve safety after the 23-point win that landed Ohio State a spot in the Big Ten Championship. The recipient's initials and uniform number have been blurred digitally to protect his identity.
