Team signed football by more than 60 players and coaches from the 1973 Ohio State Big Ten Championship football team. The Buckeyes went undefeated in the regular season with a 10-10 tie to Michigan serving as their only hiccup. Controversially, Ohio State was given the nod to appear in their second straight season after a close vote. They went on to embarrass USC in Pasadena, 42-21, to finish ranked second in the country. Stamped on the main part of the ball "OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY" with 1974 Rose Bowl Winners handwritten above that. Below that, there's some whitening with the Rose Bowl score written over that. This beautiful ball includes signatures of a several All-Americans including assistant coach Esco Sarkkinen, who was an All-American in 1939 under Francis Schmidt. Also present is legendary head coach Woody Hayes on the main panel, two-time Heisman Winner Archie Griffin on the below panel, also Neal Colzie, Van DeCree, Kurt Schumacher, Tim Fox, Randy Gradishar, Ted Smith, John Hicks, and others.
