Rare 1968 All-American tackle Rufus Mayes signed 3x5 index card. Mayes was a member of the 1968 National Championship team at Ohio State. He was drafted with the 14th pick of the first round by the Chicago Bears in the 1969 NFL Draft. He played 10 seasons in the NFL with the Bears, Bengals, and Eagles. After football, he became a marketing representative at Hewlett-Packard. Mayes passed away at the young age of 42 from bacterial meningitis in 1990 and was posthumously inducted into Ohio State's Varsity O Hall of Fame in 1994.
