An extremely rare, single-signed Ohio State logo football by 1942 All-American and National Champion, Gene Fekete. He would help the school capture their first ever National Championship in 1942 under legendary head coach Paul Brown. Fekete was drafted in the 6th round (59th overall pick) in the 1945 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. Instead, he opted to play for the Cleveland Browns and Paul Brown and went on to win the AAFC title in 1946. He was inducted into Ohio State's Varsity O Hall of Fame in 1998.
Fekete has signed boldly in black sharpie to the left of the Ohio State logo, adding the inscription "1942-All-American" and his jersey #44. Please note there is a faded accidental pen stroke to the left of the O in Ohio State.
