This very ballot helped Archie Griffin win the first of his two Heisman Trophies in 1974. The offered Official Ballot (5.5 inches x8.5 inches) was submitted by Bob Hammel of the Bloomington Herald in Indiana. Hammel correctly casted a first place vote for Archie Griffin and voted Michigan's Dave Brown and Archie's Quarterback Cornelius Greene as second and third, respectively.

Griffin won Ohio State's fourth and fifth Heisman Trophy in 1974 and 1975. He is still the only two-time Heisman Trophy winner in college football history. Archie was inducted into the College Hall of Fame in 1986 and Ohio State's Varsity O Hall of Fame in 1981.

Heisman ballots are an extreme rarity! A Downtown Athletic Club stamp acknowledges it's receipt on Nov 18 1974. Original mailing fold marks are present, but this has been kept flat since. Would look beautiful individually framed or as a group in your Buckeye Room.
