Football book authored by College Hall of Fame coach Dr. John W. Wilce and published in 1923 by Charles Scriber's Sons in New York. This book was signed and inscribed on the inside fly page by Coach Wilce and made out to the long-time secretary of Lynn W. St. John in Ohio State's Athletic Office and reads:

To Miss Finch

With appreciation of her most pleasing and efficient contributions to the "good of the athletic order" with my particular thanks from the football end.

J.W. Wilce M.D.

12-13-23

It wasn't until the arrival of Jack Wilce that Ohio State found stability at the head coaching position. He'd coach from 1913-1928, leading Ohio State to their first ever win over rival Michigan in 1919. He finished with a record that of 78-33-9 and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1954.
