Jeremiah Smith was the Big Ten Receiver of the Year, Big Ten Freshman of the Year, First Team All-American, and later the 2025 Rose Bowl Offensive MVP. He recorded 70 catches for 1,224 yards and 14 touchdown receptions to break Cris Carter's record that had stood since 1984. He scored two touchdowns and set an Ohio State freshman record for receiving yards in a game (187 yards) in upsetting top ranked Oregon in the Rose Bowl to propel Ohio State into the CFP semifinal.
