1960 Ohio State Football Block O Lapel Pin. The Buckeyes finished the 1960 season at 7-2, defeating archrival Michigan in the final game of the season, 7-0. Jim Herbstreit and Jim Tyrer were co-captains for the 1960 season and Tom Matte was voted the team's MVP. Only top-ranked Minnesota and third ranked Iowa finished ahead of the Buckeyes in the Big Ten Standings.
This lapel pin looks just like the charms that were given to Ohio State players previously for winning the Western Conference. This was purchased in a Herff Jones (Indianapolis, IN) box, but unsure if Herff Jones actually produced it. The initials D.F. can be found at the bottom on the back.
