Game Program from the 55th Rose Bowl Game on January 1, 1969. Led by their Super Sophomores, Ohio State traveled to Pasadena, California, to face second ranked USC and Heisman Trophy winner O.J. Simpson in the Rose Bowl. Ohio State forced five turnovers that day, including two by Simpson in a 27-16 win over the Trojans. It was Woody Hayes' fourth national championship at Ohio State and the school's sixth.
This lot originates from the Tee Young Collection, captain of the 1924 Ohio State football team. He passed away from colon cancer in 1973. A percentage of the total sale of this lot will be donated to the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer in honor of Francis "Tee" Young.
