This very ballot helped Vic Janowicz win Ohio State's second Heisman Trophy in 1950. The offered Official Ballot (5.5 inches x8.5 inches) was submitted by Pat Harmon from The Cedar Rapids Gazette. Harmon correctly casted a first place vote for Vic Janowicz and voted California's Les Richter and Kentucky's Vito Parilli as second and third, respectively.

Janowicz was Ohio State's second Heisman winner and would play on Woody Hayes' first Ohio State team in 1951. He would go on to careers in both the NFL and MLB. He was inducted into the College Hall of Fame in 1976 and Ohio State's Varsity O Hall of Fame in 1977.

Heisman ballots are an extreme rarity! A Downtown Athletic Club stamp acknowledges it's receipt on Nov 24 1950. Original mailing fold marks are present, but this has been kept flat since. Would look beautiful individually framed or as a group in your Buckeye Room.
