He was a freshman on Ohio State's 2002 National Championship team and lead Ohio State to a runner-up finish in 2006.  He cemented himself as the school's seventh Heisman winner with a 316-yard, four touchdown performance that lifted the top-ranked Buckeyes to a thrilling 42-39 victory over second ranked Michigan. He collected more than 91% of the first place votes, a record that stood for 13 years. Smith went on to play in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers.
