Archie Griffin Signed FULL Ticket to the 60th Rose Bowl game. The undefeated Buckeyes entered the Rose Bowl still clinging to hopes of a national championship, despite their 10-10 tie to Michigan. It was uncertain who would represent the Big Ten in Pasadena, but Athletic Directors sent top ranked Ohio State by a vote of 6-4. The Buckeyes used their ground game and defense to steamroll the seventh ranked USC Trojans, 42-21. Sophomore Archie Griffin capped the scoring with a 47-yard dash in the fourth quarter, setting the stage for him to claim the Heisman Trophy the next two seasons. Ohio State finished the 1973 season 9-0-1, but dropped in the rankings after Notre Dame's one-point win over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. This full ticket was signed beautifully in black sharpie by the only two-time Heisman winner in his second Rose Bowl.
Front of ticket is in good shape with a slight crease to the top left corner. On the back there is some staining and original owner wrote the number 27 in black ballpoint pen. Archie signed the ticket in black sharpie, adding #45.
