On the game's last play, All-American Will Allen intercepted a John Navarre pass near the goal line that preserved the win and OSU's undefeated season. Ohio State would go on to defeat Miami in double overtime in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl to claim the school's seventh National Championship. It was the first title for Ohio State in more than 30 years.
