Four 1916 Ohio State Football Photographs, 3 are original action photos and 1 is a magazine cutout of the offensive alignment including Chic Harley! The offensive unit magazine cutout has been taped on the back and measures 15" x 4.25" with Harley off to the right of the quarterback. The photograph of the handoff to jersey number 12 measures 8" x 5". The long photograph of the ball carrier being tackled with the stands in the background measures 9.75" x 3.75". Lastly, the closeup photograph of a plunge into a scrum measures 7" x 5", but possesses a 2.5" vertical tear near the middle, to the right of the ball carrier's head.
These beautiful photographs are super rare at a time when the rest of the country was just learning about Ohio State football!
This is a part of half back Paul Hurm's Personal Collection. Hurm was a part of the famed Ohio State backfield that also included Chic Harley and Pete Stinchcomb.
