Game Ball from the 18-15 win over 13th ranked Michigan in Michigan Stadium on November 17, 1979. This ball was presented to Art Schlichter after passing for 196 yards and a touchdown and running for another 27. The Buckeyes blocked a punt late in the fourth quarter that erased a three-point deficit. Ohio State moved to 11-0, but would fall by a single point to USC in the 1980 Rose Bowl.  This is a Wilson NFL ball that has been photo-matched to the official ball used during those years. It has been painted to denote the year, the game, and the final score. On the backside of this ball is painted an interlocking OSU as well  as a handwritten Carroll which we are unsure of what it represents.
