Game Ball from the 17-13 win over 17th ranked UCLA in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on September 29, 1979. This ball was presented to Art Schlichter after guiding his team 80 yards on their final drive to the four-point road victory.  He capped the drive by hitting tight end Paul Campbell from two yards out with 46 seconds left. He finished the day 13-22 for 159 yards. On the plane ride home, the pilot leaned the plane to both sides so that the players on each side could get a glimpse of the Rose Bowl.  Ohio State would go on to an 11-0 regular season, but would fall by a single point in the 1980 Rose Bowl.  This is a Wilson NFL ball that has been photo-matched to the official ball used during those years. It has been painted to denote the year, the game, and the final score.
