Lot Description  

This lot offers a unique Christmas Card that was sent out by head coach Woody Hayes and his family in 1968. After having the 1962 Rose Bowl trip “Cancelled” by his University peers, this lot is a Christmas Card from Woody following the tremendous 1968 regular season and marking a return to Pasadena and the Grand Daddy of them All, the 1969 Rose Bowl. 

The Buckeyes went on to win the 1969 Rose Bowl and earn the 1968 College Football National Championship!  

This Christmas Card makes for a great, and unique National Championship collection piece. It also includes the original mailing envelope that presumably was addressed by Coach Hayes and his familiar red ink.
