"Game Ball Awarded to Devan Bogard" after Ohio State won the 2014 Big Ten, Sugar Bowl, and College Football Playoff National Championship.  The Wilson College Football Playoff ball also shows three panels with helmets of Ohio State and their three opponents in the previously mentioned games.  Bogard signed in the lower right of the National Championship Presentation side.

Bogard was the first freshman to shed his black stripe under first year head coach Urban Meyer in 2012.  After battling through injuries, he finished his Ohio State career with 13 tackles. He was helping coach Elyria High School in 2021 when he unexpectedly passed away in an apartment fire at just 27 years of age.
