There's really not a more intense period in the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry than the 10 Year War when Ohio State's Woody Hayes and Michigan's Bo Schembechler led their respective squads from 1969-1978. Schembechler, who was an assistant on Woody Hayes' 1961 National Championship coaching staff, led Michigan to a 5-4-1 record in that span.
