Vintage 1940's Ohio State pinback consisting of two red bars and either a white bar that contains OHIO STATE spelled out in red. 1940 was quite the decade for Ohio State football! Under Hall of Fame coach Paul Brown, the Buckeyes went 9-1 in 1942 and won the school's first ever National Championship. Ohio State's only loss that year came in "The Bad Water Game" at Wisconsin when several Ohio State players fell ill after drinking stale water during the train ride north. In its biggest game of the season, the Buckeyes defeated archrival Michigan by two touchdowns. Horvath accounted for two of the three OSU touchdowns and would go on to claim the school's first Heisman Trophy two years later.

This button measures 2.75" in diameter and had a single pin with no catch.
