Beautiful and extremely rare 1939 10K Western Conference Champions football-shaped charm, presented to All-American guard Vic Marino. On the back, it is individually engraved "V. MARINO".  Marino was a three-year starter for Ohio State Hall of Fame coach Francis Schmidt, winning All-American honors in the same 1939 season.  He went on to play 13 games in the AAFC for the Baltimore Colts, starting four games.

These charms were issued to players and staff in place of championship rings until the 1950's when rings began to be handed out to celebrate conference titles. These charms from the 1920's through the 1940's are heavily sought after by championship ring collectors for their collection. This award is made with quality materials using 10K Yellow Gold.
