1908 Ohio State University Athletic Association Varsity Football Letterman Award presented to S. G. Backman on January 29, 1909. Stanley Backman played end for the Varsity Buckeyes, who finished 6-4 on the season after big wins over Oberlin and Kenyon the last two games of the season. This award was signed at the bottom by President of the Athletic Board A. M. Bleile and Secretary of the Athletic Board Harry E. Allen. The award has a few creases in the upper right corner, minor soiling, but is in terrific shape for being over 110 years old.
