This is a lot of ephemera originating from Tom Matte's personal collection.  The lot is highlighted by Matte's 1958 Varsity O Letterman Award certificate. It also includes two letters signed by then Ohio State President Karen Holbrook, congratulating Mr. Matte on his 2003 selection for the Varsity O Hall of Fame. Also includes other items from the induction ceremony. Matte was drafted seventh overall by the Baltimore Colts in the 1961 NFL Draft. He played for the Colts from 1961-1972, winning Super Bowl V. Twice he made the Pro Bowl in his professional career.
