Lot Description  

Rare Jim Thorpe First Day Cover autographed by legendary head coach Ohio State Woody Hayes in thin red marker with the inscription Yea Ohio!. This FDC was to commemorate the unveiling of the Jim Thorpe Stamp in 1983. Woody Hayes led Ohio State to national championships in 1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, and 1970. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1983.
